Attaching to the Body

A tactile-sensing patch and two stickies adhered to a forearm using, left to right: waterproof film bandage, kinesiology (KT) tape, and waterproof silicone bandage

Sensing (yellow) and feedback (blue) stickies with their batteries enclosed in pouches

The electronics are packaged as bandage-like modules, as shown on the right: each Sticky and its LiPo battery are enclosed in a breathable, water-resistant, tear-resistant fabric pouch, then adhered directly to the skin with skin-safe tape, as shown above.

Important

When placing the stickies, it is REQUIRED that the top side (i.e., the side with electronic components with letter S or F) faces the adhesives, and the bottom side (i.e., the side with battery folded underneath).

Ahesives Recommendation

Below are our recommendations, but really, you can use any skin-safe adhesives that hold the Stickies in place.
